Removing sponges on sound generator on E86 Coupe

Hello

I was watching various videos on Youtube of the Z4 Coupe and they talk about removing one or both of the sponges within the sound generator. Can someone let me know how to do this or point me to where it has been answered in a forum before. I have searched but to no avail, apologies if it has been covered before.
