Removing seat belt guides

Does anyone know how to get the seatbelt guides off? I've got a couple of chrome line covers I want to fit but can't find a guide for removal anywhere.

I had read that you take the headrest out to get acces to the screw but there is another screw at the bottom with no obvious access.
 
Bumping this because I can't get/find an answer to this anywhere. It's like the bloody Times cross word puzzle.
 
this is easy done it the other day

there is one torq screw at the top

head rest up, you can see the torq screw,

onces its out the cover comes off
 
What about the screw holding the bottom part on? I can't see how you get that out. I assume it's a screw anyway as when I remove the top screw the bottom part is still firmly fixed and when I look at the replacement the bottom hole is threaded so it's not a push fit fixing.

I had the top screw out on one but it wouldn't come off and I didn't want to pull at it. It even looks like the longer screw (no6) on the diagram goes right through and into the cover.

I trust your advice sam since you've had them off already. I'll have another bash at it tonight.

Number 6 in the diagram is under the cover you are trying to remove that holds the bracket to the seat


Have you tried a trim tool u Der it? With the screw out

I just tried and failed and I realised the lower screw that holds the covers is only accessible if you remove the seat to get behind it. Not worth it in my opinion so I sent them back! I got as far as removing the seat backing to feel around but the only way is to actually remove all the backing! Shame as I wanted to add the Chromes!
 
Well I tried again today and discovered more or less the same as the above. The top screw is only 1 of 2 things holding the guide cover in place. I pulled and wiggled the guide cover to the point the whole seat back was moving but it wouldn't budge. Had a feel under the seat back and nothing doing.

Looks like these covers are for eBay. Shame!

Yes annoying as I wanted them fitted! Damn the build quality :wink:
