Removing rail on electric sports eat

Is it possible to remove only one side of the rail on the electric sports seat?
Just looking to remove the outer one on the driver's side.

This part:


Looks like it is held in by 2 torx in the centre and 2 nuts at each end:


The centre torx seem to hold the gearing mechanism and it looks like it won't just come off.

Why do you need to remove?

Not on that seat but on the passenger side.
To remove the side plastic trim. The metal thing that holds in the seat belt bolt is in the way. Because the seats are all the way down.
And taking it off while in the car is almost impossible.
