Need to get access underneath to sort a leak problem. Is it easy to remove?

Also, can I drive around without anything going wrong/the seatbelt chime going mental?

Cheers.

If you drive round without it you will set off the airbag light.

Don't forget that you need to disconnect the battery and leave it for about 30 mins before you disconnect the seat from the car. Also if you have a tracker fitted, its a good idea to let them know you are disconnecting the battery, otherwise they get upset. I did my passenger seat this afternoon, takes about 40 mins including the 30 min wait

Oh right, so if I take out the seat after disconnecting the battery, and don't drive it before re-fitting, it won't set off any lights?

Just want to make sure as I don't have any fault checkers :(

That's how it should work

I got caught out and had to move my car mid seat swap so had the airbag light come up! Software is about £20 from eBay to sort it though which is what I ended up doing.

How far do you need to take the seat out? Is it that you just need to get under it? There is a decent length on the wires under the seat which may give you room enough to have a good rummage around without the headache of setting off the airbag light?

ben g i need to do the same as well. Water under the passenger. Havent the time to fully check where its coming from yet. Where is yours coming from?

I'm not 100% sure jimmy, but I have an idea it's coming in from the seal around the door opening.

I removed the scuff plate and some trim and it certainly seems that's the case. Need to get the seat out though and get someone to hold a running hosepipe around the door whilst i'm inside.

Ideally need to get the seat out and get the carpet up to dry it out properly. Bloody cars :(
