Just did it and its a piece of cake. I'm going to get mine Hydrographically transformed in to Carbon Fibre look.

Like this. Another member of the forum has already done this and this is his car on the website testimonial.

I've ordered replacement roll hoop covers for mine as i don't want to be without them for 2 weeks. Ive also ordered a lower valance which i'm also going to get dipped in carbon weave gloss.

If you have a wind deflector, the hardest thing is getting out the rubber/plastic bing covering the fasteners.

once the screws are out, just gently pull on the bottom edge (slightly) and them move around the head restraint. I found it much easier to just pull on the black cover, rather than the silver element.

They look cool, what sort of cost to have that done?

their under £150 the pair including delivery.

But i'm just working on an idea. I have purchased a pair of new hoop covers so that they can be done without them off the car for 2 week. This is the same for the 35i rear bumper under valance.

if i get my sums right, i will have spares to have done, and then get buyers to return their items in good condition and then can just keep going.

once i have seen the quality and looked in to this process/postage etc i'll be able to come up with a cost and turnaround time.

we will see.

After I saw the pics I was also thinking of this. Where are you sending them. I'd also like my facelift indicators done as the wrap I've done has started fading already!!

I'd definately be interested.

Hydro is the only way to do it if you want carbon look

the alternative is to paint them if you want black gloss look

Oooh now that's also a good option. Would look good with the black grills on a black car. Could get a garage to colour match to the body.

Did you do that yourself?

If so what process and paint did you use?

Covers painted Saphire Black to match body colour.

To be honest, I purchased some new covers and got them painted via an garage cost £100 inc painting.

These are my rollbar covers, mirrors and facelift indicators, done about 18months ago by Wicked coatings of Poole Dorset. Hydro dipped carbon
