Removing bumper rivets

Hello
I’m trying to get my front bumper off, I see from a very helpful guide on here the plastic rivets in the wheel arch are best to deal with first.

Just checking if anyone has come across this type of rivet/fastener?

I’ve had the one with a core you can pull out and reuse, and the others were the expected facelifts one you can tap through and collect later…. But I’ve got a couple of these bastards which appears to be a single piece, and won’t budge. Don’t want to get too aggressive with it in case I’m bending what’s behind it. Any ideas or is it just a brute force job?

Many thanks

Thanks TriggerFish - I got the drill out then realised it’s an awkward angle so will need to take the wheel off… and I of course I don’t have a jack low enough to get under this car 🤣

Hit this problem today myself buddy there's a little tool for it on ebay for a couple of quids then get spare clips 4 quid for 4 set 10pcs. Left my jobs till I've got the bits to put back on. They're bending and snapping out however I try. Give me a shout tho if u find a home made tool haha 😄 happy zedding

The centre pin just pushes through and can be retrieved when you have got the bumper off. I have used a centre punch before, or a small screwdriver with the end cut off.

Thanks for the replies. I could have sworn the ones I was having trouble with were all a single piece of plastic someone had just grabbed from the parts bin, instead you using the proper re-usable ones. The centre bit wouldn’t budge, honest! But after mangling the heads off and recovering the bits inside… turns out there were two pieces to them after all. Riveting stuff 🙄🤣
