Removing bird crap

Autoglym Bird Dropping Wipes - always have a box of them in my boot just in case. Very effective

No. Way.

What happened to spit and a microfibre cloth ? :?

Actually, perhaps I may get some...

I only remove with pressure washer. Scared that wipes etc will scratch paint? :?

Pour water on it then pressure wash to remove completely does the trick for me, unless the bird has hit the rag top.... :( in which case, Autoglym hood cleaner to the rescue :)

perfect timing for this thread! Found two beautiful white-ish bluey streaks dripping down drivers side door handle as I left work. Living in a seaside town, I'm not sure how I've lasted so long without these wipes. But then again, a weekly clean helps!

Just keep a pack of baby wipes in the car. Much cheaper and if they're soft enough for a baby's bum they won't scratch the paint! :D

Oh, plus a detailer spray and microfiber always in the boot as well.

Hmmmm. Detailer spray is mentioned elsewhere for dealing with dust / keeping clean between washes, right ? But what does it actually do - does it 'lift' the dirt off a waxed surface so it can be safely wiped off ?

Yeah I guess - lubricates the surface so dirt wipes off. I suppose it must work that way because you also use it with a clay to lubricate the surface and all the grime gets lifted off into the clay with no damage to the paintwork.

I use a QD after using the wipes. The beauty of them is that they lift fairly stubborn muck without having to 'scrub' hard. Well worth it IMO. And you avoid getting bird s*** on one of your microfibres !!

Excellent, thanks

Trip to cleanyourcar.com coming on... Dodo Juice to go with my wax ?
