Removing a LeatherZ armrest

Anyone done this before?

I know it was just 3m sticky pads - but how easy does it come off? Is there a knack?

The armrest is on carbon leather so keen not to damage anything!

Can't help with the removal process, but have you got any pictures of yours fitted? I've been looking at these lately and don't know whether to get one or not.

Here you go mate.

An excellent addition if I'm honest

senwar, they do not come off very easy for sure. I would suggest leaving the car parked in the sun for a while to let it get as warm inside as possible to soften the stickey pads and then lift from one end.

mmm-five, I think it's an excellent addition. In addition to excellent quality it give you a place to store loose change and other small items...

Thanks WLH - Bugger - no sun in England at the mo!

Was thinking of trying a hair dryer or something. Will give it a try later this week anyway

I'd be interested in the door armrests if you manage to get them off neatly
They've come off no probs. The armrest on the other hand!

I'll drop you a PM.

Cheers
Paul

I looked at taking mine off, one pad seemed to have come loose anyway but the others weren't going anywhere so I decided to leave it in place. It's nice but hampers gear changes slightly. I was going to try the hairdryer (borrow one off a coupe owner) :poke:

:D

Mine wasn't budging earlier. I'm not going to try too much to be honest. If it comes off, great, if not, will leave it and let Sytner sort it.

Hair dryer, then dental floss in a sawing motion, goof-off to remove the residue (try the goof-off in a hidden area 1st to make sure it doesn't ruin the finish)
