Remove Old Wheel Balance Adhesive

Does anyone have any tips to remove the residual adhesive that has been left on the wheel when the old balance weights have been removed?

Thanks in advance.

I have never managed it without removing the paint underneath :x

I tried the Autoglym tar removal and soaked the glue with that, but as soon as I remove the glue it would remove the paint.

Here is another thread on it:

I used tardis and an old credit card. As a Bing will tell you, they were un marked using this method.

+1 for Tardis - amazing stuff, seems to dissolve everything and won't harm the paint (but don't let it dry on the paint)

Many thanks . I'll give Tardis a go.

Finding a credit card I don't need may be a bit of a problem :)

There is a product called 'sticky stuff remover' it's in a yellow spray bottle. It has orange oil extracts in it. It works a treat on double sided sticky pads. Worth a try!

That's the stuff available at Lakeland, it's good stuff but not as potent as Tardis - I tend to use it indoors as Tardis can be a bit too smelly
