Removal of shift knob emblem

Does anybody know how to remove the manual shift knob emblem?

On my Z3 it was only a glue that held my emblem on the shift knob. I would think any type of gentle heat would loosen the glues grip as did years of top down sun baking it and my playing with it too!

Never stops it seems! My new shift knob doesn't have the gaiter ID, so I want to remove it from my old OEM knob and stick it on the ashtray cover.

New....hmmmm, which did ya get?

ACS style but with a unique chrome top (to match my wheels ) It's weighted at .8 pounds and feels real good. Would never go back.
