Removal of CDV on 2.0

Anyone done this to a 2.0 Zed? How easy is it? I've had a quick look underneath and it seems to be hidden behind some heat shield panels on the drivers side. What's the process please and can I just bin the valve and connect up the hoses or do I need an adapter union of some sort?

Do you feel a need? My 2.0 had no shifting issues, def much easier to change than the ///m

Thought most non-m owners left their CDv as is?

I'm ah feelin it Woots! I'm getting fed up with the stares from other drivers thinking I can't drive 'cos I can't manage a smooth quick gear change in the lower gears. I know it's not me, I have two other cars and it only happens in the Zed, very frustrating!

I had CDV removed by mechanic. No adapter was needed

My advice is to remove this stupid device asap.

It's easy to remove. Here's a video showing how to do it (the video uses an M, but it's the same principle)
