Remote Alarm issue

Hi,

I have an ongoing issue where my alarm sounds off intermittently & lights flashing when locked by the remote. There is no set time pattern for the alarm sounding when remotely locked. Sometimes it can be a few minutes, on other occasions it can be a few hours. Needless to say I lock the vehicle by key which is fine, and the alarm has never sounded when locked by key.

Before anybody responds I've tried the usual suggested checks. Firstly having tested & changed the bonnet sensor, which didn't resolve the issue. I've removed objects from the console which also didn't resolve the issue. And finally I've tried double locking via the remote which I believe de-activates the interior sensor. Once again this hasn't resolve the problem.

HELP?

Watching I have a similar fault with mine bonnet sensor unplugged double tap works sometimes but not all will try with just key mine usually sounds within 10 mins of locking taking mine to an indy next week for work will get him to do some checks will let you know if we find the cause

Unplug the bonnet alarm sensor and see what happens. 9 times out of 10 that will be the cause.

I did read it and didn't even notice you said about the sensor :lol: that serves me right for skim reading whilst working!

I have heard of mice chewing through wires on vehicles that are usually stored and used as weekend fair weather cars. Could be an answer, but probably not

very strange mine all of a sudden has stopped sounding so never got him to check will keep a check on it and keep you informed if we find anything
