Remap - mid range change?

Hi,

Has anyone done a Stage1 remap and could share before and after dyno results?

I have a 3.0si and I appreciate that a remap will not do much for peak power and torque for an NA engine. I curious what these off-the-shelf remaps can do at the low/mid rev range.

Example stage 1 remap: https://www.celtictuning.co.uk/component/ctvc/bmw/z4-e85-e86-2002-2008/petrol/35si-261-bhp-2002-2008-ECU-remap-chiptuning/stage-1?year=2007#t3-content

Definitely worth doing from my point of view for power further down the rev range . If you can get a remap done on a rolling road that is the way to go rather than just a stand alone programme / chip . I posted a graph here https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=125816 .

Great to see a remap can make an improvement in the mid range. I’ll definitely look into doing this.

The only other advice I have is if you are thinking about changing the exhaust or any other engine upgrades do them before the remap . I know this means waiting until they have been done but in my case I will now need to go back to have it looked at again when I have decided I have finished all my upgrades .
