RedZed

MOT Passed today. No advisories, just needed a new reg plate light bulb @ £1.50 :)

A little update on the mods so far: matt black grilles, machine monkey exhaust tips, full set of sport springs and replica style 32's in black for winter use with 4 Nokian WR's.

One year ago today I'd had a lovely trip to see Guiseley & JaRed & brought home my little hellrot coupe :)

I've added matt black grilles, machine monkey exhaust tips & set of OEM sport springs (after having the usual spring break - but not in a sunshine & beer kind of way)

Red's been wonderful this past 12 months, looking forward to the next. Still brings a grin to my face, even when sat on the drive

Very glad you're still enjoying it, it's nice to know it's gone to a loving home.

Must also mean that the Lotus that replaced Red Zed is also approaching its anniversary - that's been tremendous fun too, but it can't match the reliability nor parts availability of the Zed!

Tony.

Just caught up on this thread having realised that the forum doesn't seem to notify me of replies any more... oh well.

Thanks for the comments everyone -- we're all very fond of Red here :)

Happy Anniversary to the Lotus -- hope it's all going well

I had a word with JaRed regarding the exhaust issue, but I see it was a lost cause anyway and replacement was the only option

Enjoy the next year

I did try Paul & the original tips didn't look to bad, but couldn't resist the lure of the monkey though :)

I've only been able to evaluate during a rush-hour 7 mile journey from Bev Motor Works, but initial impressions are good - it's like I can actually feel the biting point, where before it was very vague. I think I'll have to re-learn it somewhat, but it I think it'll be a lot better in 1st & 2nd.

Bonus is that Bev Motor Works didn't actually charge me for removing it
