Red interiors, I wonder why...

I searched and prioritized a red interior when I bought my used Z, they were (are) so rare. And on the forum, I often read how much this interior color is sought after, people almost willing to swap their mother for a set of those red seats! But when you look at how few Z's were ordered new in that color, it makes me wonder why that is ?

Times, fashions and tastes change. See the last 4 years or so with the taste for paint colours of brilliant white and matte black. They weren't even on the radar before that, really.

Dealers often try to persuade you to go traditional with all sorts of tales about not being able to sell your car later on.

Personnaly i think red is too much. Mine is red and black which i don't think is as in your face

My wife discounted a couple of lovely looking zeds on the basis that she didn't want a red interior.

Her reasoning? She wears a lot of pink and didn't want to clash with her car

My Mrs was unsure of the red leather (even though i thought it looked great) but when she saw the car she loved it too :)

I've often said that I'll own a car with a red interior at some point in the future - it does give quite a "tarty" look though. :P I think you need to be careful what exterior colour you go for though, (blue would be a no-no in my opinion).

Then you haven't seen gookahs Zed. Blue with red interior and is stunning and I don't even like red interiors.

Matrons bloomers dear boy, matrons bloomers. Say no more. Red mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Looks great with grey too (as I also have)

Hahaha....my wife nix'd a Sapphire Black with Red leather too! Ended up with Light Sepang Bronze.....I am indifferent between the two interior colours.

My impending Silver-Grey (next Friday is the day, can`t wait... :driving: ) has the red seats, and IMHO they complement the exterior colour, and black and silver dash perfectly......... 8)

I've just chosen a red leather interior for my new Zed. I think this colour combination really stands out and will look fabulous 'in the flesh' :D This is the combo I have gone for:

nice color combo (love that red interior 8) ) great wheels for that model also

There are only 2 interior colour choices for Alpine White, black or red. Other colours just don't fit.

zed4coupe, I saw a white 30i with those 19s yesterday, it looks amazing with those wheels.

When I first saw the M Sport 19"s I knew I wanted them! They are easy to clean, which is also a positive, but they do expose the wheel hub and brake caliper which was beginning to badly pit and corrode on the demo I drove.

Think back in 03/04 red interior with silver outside was not a popular choice .... in the launch brochure that I've got a copy of there is not a single photo of a Z4 with a dream red interior.
