Red Airbag light

Just started my 2004 Z4 2.5 convertible and the airbag light has come on dashboard???? Will this go out with a long run or require a repair??
Any ideas or help
I presume it will not pass mot in a few months if it does not go out?

Correct, it’ll fail it’s MOT. Airbag lights don’t usually go out on their own even when you have fixed the fault. They need a code reader to reset it.

Need to get a code reader on it that can read the airbag module and see what code(s) have been set to point you in the right direction as to the reason its set the warning light. The code reader should also be able to clear the code when the fault has been attended to. A common problem is loose or dirty connectors under the seats, check they are clean and connected securely.
