Reconditioned roof motors

Hi Guys
Take a look at this web site that I've found on ebay they are based in Bradford and offer replacement reconditioned roof motors supplied and fitted for £499.95 with 12 month warranty looks like a decent deal if you can't get down to our forum friend that offers to replace them :thumbsup:
 
"Once you have located the Hydro Unit its a 5 minute job to remove 2 bolts, power cable and swap the motor over which is the part that fails." I like how they avoided mentioning the actual task of getting to the motor assembly. :roll:
 
I ordered one last weekend, it came the next day! Brilliant service. :thumbsup:

However, they offer you £30.00 for your old motor and will only issue a 12 month warranty upon receipt of it. Return Postage has to be paid also.

The warranty they offer is not worth the paper it is written on. Things not covered, "water ingress" (understandable and quite right) "Electrical problems with the car" So if the motor does pack up it is guaranteed that they will argue this and demand a full report from a BMW. We all know how much that can stretch to. :thumbsdown:

So the old motor goes back to them, they re-con it and make another £200.00. Good business i suppose. But they aint getting mine! Gonna get it re-conned myself so i have a spare. :thumbsup:

The motor is working like a champ though. :)
