Recommend me... a wax

Werksatt acrylic is good but IMHO leaves a really clinical look I have it on a silver new car and it suits it but it does not look as deep as the dodo finishes I've seen on Silver Zeds like PawnS's.

Wasn't judging you was trying to offer my experience to help you out, not like the stereotypical "geek" comment.
My point is that wax contributes very little to the paint finish, it's the prep that is key. Wax is the layer of protection added. Colly offers a lot of "bang for buck" so if you've used it and like it stick with it.

Poorboys White Diamond Glaze
Collinite 476 wax
Poorboys Quick Detailer Plus

All ordered at lunchtime - cheers for making me poor again folks

Took the plunge with the White Diamond Glaze as - despite machine-polishing - the van paintwork still has some imperfections. Seriously hard VAG paint I've been told. It's not massively obvious but every little helps.

Well done mate, a good choice!! I have been known to sniff my paint after the White Diamond!! Quick detailer Plus is a great produc too...

All this means is that I'm going to have the Z4 looking great for the next meet I'm at. Which of course means I'd likely to rain torrentially throughout the meet

Only reason people buy colly's is for durability. And if you want durability then the modern Nano sealants piss all over waxes.

Check out Wolfs Body Wrap - £20ish. I put it on in December for the winter and it's still beading! - Takes a bit of prep work though.

For summer i will revert back to Swissvax Saphir.

Shame I was too impatient and ordered my stuff yesterday Ali

TBH I won't miss what I've not experienced, and since I've been happy so far with Collinite I'm just going to bury my head in the sand and ignore everything else...

Ally if you change your mind, I'll take all 3 items off you for what you paid......

Nah I'll be happy with it all! Was under £50 for the whole lot from this place if you're interested: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/ (inc the MASSIVE size of Collinite). This is when Aliv6 tells me it's a right dodgy company - they're up in his neck of the woods after all lol.
