Recommend a wax for grey Z

thanks mate. Yeah I've been looking at the Dodo range - a lot to choose from. At this point Im thinking soft wax over the hard.

Which product from the Dodo range do you recommend as theres a few to choose from?

Anyone used FinishKare 2685 - Pink Wax at all??

Never used KF 2685 but use FK 1000 on my titan silver. It gives a brilliant result but it's pretty hard stuff to use.

+1 for Dodo Purple rain on Grey. Simple to use, very wet shiny finish.

Supernatural is good for that we look......in any case, with Dodo, but a sample test pot first....

Lime prime followed by purple haze, both Dodo Juice

Also recently discovered Megs Ultimate Quick Detailer to keep it fresh 8)

On related note, what does everyone use to put it on ? The Dodo Juice free basics of bling finger mitt is a bit dire. Is there anything better anyone would recommend ?

I use poorboys black hole glaze topped with exp on my stirling grey Z. Very nice finish and good value.

I have just bought some wet glaze 2.0 this leaves the body work very slick and looks amazing, you can put it under or over wax, or sealer, worth a look at £17, if you are thinking of using a wax and a sealer .

Bing, I have dodo juice rainforest rub which I put on by hand. Works well although your neighbours think you are getting a bit too intimate with the car...

Let me get this right, you just use your bare fingers ? If I did that with Purple Haze I'd end up with very purple fingers... :?

Don't your patients worry that you have stained digits Jimmy ? :P

This applying wax with your fingers malarky is surely just a ploy to use up your wax quicker? a round, padded microfibre pad works best for me (found in most major supermarkets)

Is it cool to use autoglym hi-resin polish before the wax? been using it for a while and get great results from it!

Had a basic detailing day used many different polishes, sealants and waxes. Bought home smartpolish,jetseal109 and supernatural Hybrid(wax)There the ones that impressed me the most, but there are soo many to choose from.

Ah but what you are not revealing is that you bought a 30 litre pot

Only used one proper wax but I got Victoria Concour wax based on loads of recommendations and it looks great. Easy to remove as well. Would say to get an applicator pad because it's easy to rub grit around with your hand. You use less wax so more cost effective anyway.
