Recommend a good dashcam please.

The other half is making noises about wanting a dashcam.
I’ve never had one, so have zero knowledge in this area.
There are so many out there I struggle to identify a good one.
Any recommendations from folk that actually have one?
Obvious good quality that can show detail clearly.
Not sure if a rear cam is needed, or parking capabilities etc.
TIA

I have a BlackVue DR750X 2 channel dash cam which I’m happy with, you can fit a SIM card to it and have access to live footage from anywhere on connect it to a WI-FI and access it through that.
Only issue I’ve had is it occasionally locks up and needs the power lead unplugging and reconnecting to reboot it, I think it may be overheating in the sun.
Here are a couple of clips, one from the front and one from the rear.

I have Viofo in my cars and can recommend them. They have great image quality, discreet & reliable install and forget devices with good software updates, yet relatively inexpensive. Had them for five years now. They have no wifi so if you need to review the footage, just pick it up and connect with USB to your computer, which, IMO is easier than than wifi.

I have a couple of MiVue cameras by Mio
Nice and small, with plenty of features, including monthly speed camera (fixed) location updates

Just fitted a Halo Go in a neighbour’s car, circa £100.

Bought myself this for my Audi and imo it is far superior, for instance the Halo G has no way of manually locking a file.

You don't need to spend a lot for a decent one these days.

Just noticed it's £73 now, but there is a 40% off voucher bringing it down to £43. I paid £33 including next day delivery two weeks ago.
