For a good few days now it seems the recent topics is not getting updated and not working correctly. Has anyone else noticed this?
Out of interest, why are they called 'Unread posts' when clearly they have been read and replied to? :?enuff_zed said:I just look at 'unread posts' tbh.
Unread posts, not unread threads.MikeyH said:Out of interest, why are they called 'Unread posts' when clearly they have been read and replied to? :?enuff_zed said:I just look at 'unread posts' tbh.
Isn't that the same as 'New posts'? I really am not trying to be awkward.enuff_zed said:Unread posts, not unread threads.MikeyH said:Out of interest, why are they called 'Unread posts' when clearly they have been read and replied to? :?enuff_zed said:I just look at 'unread posts' tbh.
So if you are following a particular thread you can easily see if anything new has been added that you haven't read yet.
MikeyH said:I don't use it, I always go to the 'New posts' tab. I have noticed the the 'Active topics' only goes back 5 pages now, I'm sure this used to be endless, presume this is to save website space.![]()

I think New Posts are governed by some kind of time limit???MikeyH said:Isn't that the same as 'New posts'? Unread posts are specific to the person looking. Posts you have read will still show as unread to me until I open them.
I got lost trying to keep up with everything so what I ended up doing was marking everything as read about 3 years ago.
Then every time I look at the forum I select unread posts and see everything that has happened since I last looked.
Once I read them they disappear from the list, so its easy to know I'm up to date.
Seems rude not to now doesn't it? Cheers Jim.MikeyH said:Thank you even though I don't use it. I might now![]()
