Since I got my new hyd ramps Ive been a busy bee, access on underside has been made so easy, after removing cover plates under car it was easy to do a bit of wax oiling, things were in good condition because of the covers keeping the crap away, was able to check all fastenings and identify all the workings. The covers are light and flimsy, I would say they were there for aero dynamics and protection of components behind them as BMW calling a couple of them reinforcing plates i fail to see as material is no thicker than the walls of a french letter. Couple of pics showing before and after i removed CDV which was straight forward job and well worth doing. Garage is long, narrow and water tight, not the ideal but better than none. Well back to the grindstone. All the very best for Christmas...Cheers Baz
