Recent 2011 Z4 Purchase

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 2011 Z4 and it looks like I will need new tires soon. Any suggestions on tire make/model are appreciated. Currently, the car has Bridgestone Potenza re050a rft radial tire - 225/40r18 88w.
Also, is it wise to add a windscreen? Thanks.

Hi and welcome tyre choice is basically do want to keep runflats or do you want to ditch them. Also aren’t the rears 255/35
A wind deflector is a very good addition especially if you do a lot of roof down driving

As jabber says it depends if you want to stick to run-flats or not. If you don't it would probably be a good idea to replace all 4 at the same time - you might be able to sell the other 2 if they are in decent condition. And then what you fit would depend as much as anything on budget and personal preference.

If you do decide to keep run-flats I'd definitely conside a different brand. I had Pirelli run-flats on a couple of other BMWs and they were much better than the Bridgestones I had on my Z4!

I'd recommend finding the quietest rated decent tyre you can find, the e89 chassis seems to transmit a lot of tyre noise into the cabin, much more so than the e85
