Reccomend mods/upgrades

Hello,

Iv had my 2.5 2003 z4 for about a month now, i removed the stock 16" alloys & put some 18" AC alloys on it, and fitted the gap tech Remote Control Hood+ (which is really worth while - I bought it before I spotted the group purchase on here though!!

Are there any recommended mods/upgrades you guys would suggest I invest in?

I love the car and don't want to change it too much, I just wondered if there was a common theme that most members upgraded or added??? / things to recommend to a new owner?

Cheers,

Adam

I really like the ZHP gear knob, and extra storage, I went to http://www.leatherz.com and got the knob, extra first aid box and a custom centre console - which doubles as a great arm rest. (these mods make driving just that bit more comfortable)

Exterior wise - most people change the kidney grille to all chrome/ or black. Swap their indicators for clear ones and swapping to carbon fibre roundels are popular (largely depends on the colour of your Z tho).

Lots and lots of little things to change - but beware - read a few pages of threads and the modding bug will bite you!!

Where to start...
Driver training... the Car Limits day is very good.
M Sport steering wheel
Strut brace
Exhaust

Cheers guys il deffinatly get the stubby - will look much better with that on.

Is there a drastic improvement with a strut brace?

Can you guys recommend a good stubby antenna that does not reduce radio reception?

I agree that the LeatherZ armrest is one thing I could not do without.

The only advice I'd give is don't even start modifying.
It's adictive and has now been officially recognised as Z4-itis there is currently no known cure and symptoms consist of a permanently empty bank account as the stubby becomes new grills which then a need a bumper to show them off. Then the amber indicators start to annoy and look out of place so you need new lights, then you get a custom wheel refurb followed by new suspension, you get my drift.

Enjoy your Zed for what it is a great car out of the box.

Now if you will excuse my cheque book needs opening as I'm sure I've just seen the lastest must have shiney thing I never knew I needed.

Richard, a little off topic... but what offset / size tires are you running on your VMR V710's?
My wheels are 19x8.5 ET35 Front and 19x9.5 ET45 Rear fitted with 235/35/19 Front, 265/30/19 Rear Falken 452s.

Aquazi on the other hand has front 19x8.5et40, rear: 19x9.5 et45, with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear Vredestein Sessanta tyres.
This means his front wheels sit 5mm further in than mine do.
