Recall z4 Vanos housing may loosen ??

I'm a new owner of a z4 2.3ADrive E89 2.5 straight six cylinder year 2010 march and I have read that a recal on the dft.gov.uk site of Vanos houseing screw comeing loose so I phoned synther Cardiff BMW and mentioned it and they said no recal so now I'm confused lol can anybody help me I think my engine is N52 if I'm correct on this model 8)
 
Hi flybobbie yes it gives vin numbers but I can't work it out is there anybody on the site who can help me out lol
 
As far as I can remember they put new bolts in and a new gasket.
Im sure somebody mentioned something about bolts shearing so they were being changed as a precaution.
 
Well, thanks for the Friday morning panic :rofl: I just called bmw as my vin was on the range and no idea if the previous owner had it done. They confirmed it had been completed, no hassel, nice and easy check if you are unsure
 
I checked my friends car that had been done and that starts with WBAL.
So I think individual cars need checking.
I think that build start date is a good point to start.
My car has a build date sticker inside the bonnet, but my friends hasn't.
