Rear window sticker

I am wondering if anyone knows how to remove one of the dealer stickers from the rear window. The one that has the dealer name and number. I dont want to damage the heating filaments that run through the window but it is stuck in such a place that it blocks alot of my rear view :headbang:

But if they won't, warm it up with a heat gun (low setting) or hair dryer and peel it off with your fingers. ......
Hope this helps.
^+1...
IMO, it's not worth a trip to the dealer.
They are usually very easy to remove.
The adhesive is not that strong.

... a little heat & pick at a corner to start & it should peal right off.
Then use a little Isopropyl alcohol to clean any minor residue.

I would ask the dealer to remove it... :x

If that fails, warm it up with a hair dryer or heat gun (low setting) and peel it off with your fingers. Use no metal on the inside as that's where the defroster grid is. On the outside, same proceedure except you can safely use a razor blade to remove it. Use some WD 40 on a cloth then rubbing alchohol to remove any residual adhesive.
Hope this helps.

hairdryer is the real easy way - removed many with it.

Take care to hear a large area and warm it slowly especially if the glass is very cold else you'll create a hot spot and risk cracking the glass

If you can't get the alchohol in UK then meths works just as well

Goo-Gone, keep applying small amounts and eventually it turns the adhesive to goo which can then be taken off with alcohol. Never use a sharp or hard object.

Ok cheers guys, Ill try the hairdryer and if one of my neighbours happens to say 'I told you it was a hairdressers car' Ill run them over :D
I tried just picking it off but it was just ripping, it is almost like a plastic material, very annoying.
Cheers again

Yeh after having the car about 2 months now, I've literally just peeled it off from my back window. It was really blocking my view of vehicles behind me. It's really sticky but I managed to get mine peeled off alright, just takes time and patience!

Personally I find a plastic scraper followed by IPA, MEK or 1.1.1 Trichloroethane works a treat, although I think the latter two are illegal these days. Which is a bummer, as MEK smells of pear drops :D

my grand father used to keep an old 007 vodka bottle under the sink and my gran used to used the contents to remove almost anything you could get stuck to your person or clothing or belogings..... later i found out it was trichloroethalene........ god knows where he got it from but it worked a treat!! maybe thats now how come both me and my sister are diabetic.... lol

I've actually refused delivery on a car when the dealer put his name on the trunk lid. When I ordered the car I specifically mentioned this. They removed their "emblem" from the rear of the car. Kinda picky I know.

to my surprise the saleswoman actually removed mine before I picked the car up, as she said rear visability was bad enough, without a sticker adding to it.

Saved me a job, (before PVR buts in  )
