I seem to be missing mine and there is nothing on RealOEM.

Anyone know where I can source one please - all the usual routes have drawn a blank?

If you Google search for "BMW clown nose" you get a list of them from various locations.

Are they just a push fit?
Wifey's car has never had one, but as she's not noticed yet I've left well alone.

Looking in the manual if you have an automatically dimming rear view mirror it appears to only be decorative rather than serving as the manual dimming function.

It is decorative yes. It only makes the flashing led behind it when the alarm is on look a bit better.
