Rear subframe front bushes

Hello, wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here...

I am installing powerflex subframe bushes (yellow ones) and notice that the front ones (where the reinforcement plate attaches to, under the diff input flange) that these bushes have a recess/pattern cut out on them for the reinforcement place to sit up flush against the bush once everything is bolted up.

The problem I have is that the reinforcement place does not have any recessed grooves or pattern to mate up against the recessed patterned bush. The reinforcement bar is just flat and circular on the mating side to the bush and this causes the reinforcement plate to have gaps when bolted up against the bush... Can I cut the protruding bits off these bushes so the reinforcement plate buts up flush against it???

I have watched a few videos on YouTube and checked if I have the correct parts which are right. I notice that the e46's have the recessed patterns on the plate and therefore sit flush against the recessed bush.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I noticed the same when fitting Strongflex E46 subframe bushes. Can't remember how I oriented the bushes but I recall being reasonably happy with the outcome. I didn't trim anything - just rotated the bushes so they were pointing the same way each side.

If I remember correctly there is a top and bottom and they are shaped to fit over the shape of the steel work.

My biggest problem was trying to bench press the sub frame up into position with the car on 4 axle stands laid on my back and getting a nut on to hold it up. Then repeat for the diff.
