Rear sub frame bush kit for standard ride?

I'll be replacing the rear sub frame this year on the 2 litre, but I'm a bit baffled by the range of different bushes available.
I'm just looking for 'standard ride' bushes and don't know whether I should buy BMW original bushes, or whether to go with one of the many options out there.
But which of the many options won't give me a harsher ride?

Upgrading your subframe bushes shouldn't give you a harsher ride or introduce any more NVH so long as your other bushes aren't solid too or in the case of the diff, stay stock.

If you want the cheapest and closest to stock, go for a Meyle or similar, but this will have the "worst" handling. If you want a good halfway house go for poly, or if you want the best handling and most connected rear end, go for solid ones.

No worries, literally fitted mine to my spare subframe this morning
How much of a job was it to get the new bushes in place? is it doable without a fixed hydraulic press? I'm thinking about buying one of those hand bush press kits you see advertised...

Fronts went in with a block of wood and a hammer. Same with lower rears. Upper rears needed a press. I’ve got a bush press kit that was about £50 from Amazon, loads of different sizes, worked perfectly
