Rear Spoiler

Hi Folks,

Has anyone fitted the rear spoiler to their roadster ?

Am thinking of one as a Christmas present to myself :D

P.S

Anyone got a photo of one ?

I still prefer the OEM aerokit spoiler - #4 in that post linked above.

But I think the aerokit sideskirts are a better mod than a rear spoiler, although probably will end up costing twice as much :)

I added mine to both my o3 and now my 06. Advice: Spoiler Depot sells these and they aren't the same quality as BMW, for the $ difference, I would get the genuine spoiler.

Thanks,

I think it's still the OEM one for me. Just need to find a 'good' price. BMW want £198 +vat painted. So any ideas. I did get one from M-Sport for my one series but the paint quality was cr*p and I spent 3 days wet sanding and polishing, as it was white not so much of an issue but being the Z4 is Met Grey am not keen on that route again.

ianreeves, the OEM spoiler is available here http://www.bmwmstyle.co.uk/Z4-Exterior.htm couple of Z4um-ers had stuff fitted by them - personally I've never used them, but the spoiler is easy enough to fit yourself, think it's just adhesive pads.

Thanks, looks like http://www.bmwstyle.co.uk and http://www.mstyle.co.uk are the same company. I got one from them previously for my 1 series. I don't want another from them.

The BMW dealer can get them ready painted so looks like this is my best option.

The one I fitted to the one series was a tape and adhesive job, easy enough just put enough adhesive to raise it above the tape then position, when your happy push it down. The tape is enough to hold it whilst the glue sets. 8)

Here are some shots of the spoiler I added to my 03:
