A wind up - MGF rear engine RWD, cable operated gearbox, two subframes joined with a tin box ie easy. Z4, just to go with the village idiot, needs to get prop shaft and exhaust to the rear, battery in the boot and nowhere to put it in the front. It will have the structural strength of damp tissue which the OP has probably a lot of already...
