rear fog lights

Hi all, yes this is my first post so please be gentle with me?

First of all i'm the proud owner of a 2006 3.0si sport and what else can i say but wow :D

However i have noticed that only one of the fog lights works, the off side :(

It looks like from other posts that i have the face lift model.

On checking the lamp, tracing and metering the wiring i have found that there are two wirings that go seperately into the loom on the RHS.

Any idea's where they go too so i can check out the other end?

Only the offside works as a fog light. The other one does work, but only as part of the brake force display system - if you brake suddenly or hard enough that the ABS kicks in then it lights the brake lights AND both fogs to provide more warning to drivers behind. Perfectly normal

Don't worry, you're not the only person to have been caught out about this. It was in my list of things for the dealer to "fix" when I bought my Z4.

Guys, what can i say, thanks thought it better to ask than start pulling things apart!!! :)

Too late for me, just bought a new bulb for around £13 from the dealer to fix this.

At least you still have your sense of humour, given you posted... Made me

Welcome to the forum

A spare bulb is nothing. I've spent way more than 13 quid on unneeded parts in the past.
