Rear-ended today

...The car, that is. Actually the 5 series, not the zed. Braked to slow for standing water, going to work this morning. Guy behind decided to use my rear bumper as his brake. Damage doesn't look too bad, but as soon as you start sniffing at a new bumer you know it's going to be big.

Buckled his bonnet (Polo) good n' proper!

Within a short period of reporting it to my insurance I got a call from someone urging me to make a whiplash claim! Sure, I maybe have a slight crick, but the assumption that I would want to claim really pi55es me off!

Sorry to hear this. Hope its gets sorted painlessly as possible.
The claim vultures are efficient aren't they? This is why our insurance premiums are higher.

but claiming whip lash is so easy and their is never any questions, how many people wont apply for free money??? the ability to claim whiplash should be an extra extortionate premium in my opinion

I'd complain to your insurers for passing the details on.

I've had a few calls recently about my recent accident. When I ask which accident, they have no idea and just say any! Trouble is, I've not had any accidents! (Although this post is the kiss of death!)

Hope its not too bad.

I'd also be concerned that your insurance company passed your details on so quickly.

Glad you're ok

How the fcuk do these claim companies find out so quickly when you've had an accident :?

If police is in involved, towing companies also suddenly come out of nowhere ...

It's an incestuous business funded by the likes of me and you and our ever growing premiums. Lost count of the numbers that benefited from my sons significant accident and I reckon the add on costs must have exceeded 15K.

I never claimed for my accident, even though my insurers booked me 8 physio appointments in advance.....

I'd be interested to know who your insurers are and what their excuse for passing this on was. We know they get a kick back, but I wonder if employees are doing this themselves to top up the lousy call centre wages.
