I've just been told my //M needs the rear coil springs replaced. Anyone know where i can get these from and how much they are? Or do i get them from bmw directly?

Thanks

Any bmw dealer will get the springs for you, I don't think you can duplicate the M suspension spring height by using different springs-they seem to be SE spec (to high) or lower with lack of ground clearance.
Regards

I've just had them done by BMW in Croydon. £120 incl VAT per part. Total job came to
Roughly £360. It's a half hour job and very easy to DIY apparently. I went the dealer route because my warranty covers most of the cost and I wanted peace of mind when I sell the car that it was done by BMW... Others thought I was mad for such an easy job!!

I am a novice when it comes to car repairs, but after getting quoted £100 a side just for part and that was with 15% discount,
Thought why not give it a go,after a bit of you tube watching me and a friend did both sides in 40 mins.
This was in the pouring rain and 20 mins spent trying to loosen bolts, all the friend is really needed for is to put some weight on wheel hub to free the spring.
Bought the springs from Suplex sheffield for £50 a side ,when I ask him to confirm they were M sport suspension(there is msport and non msport springs)
He gave a laugh and said of course,we cannot make enough of these,so obviously BMW does have a spring fault issue ,
We only fitted these today but after a 25 mile drive the car feels transformed ,a lot less crashy and better planted in the corners.
So i would conclude buy from suplex give them a call there service was great too,
And fit them yourself its very simple, hope this may give someone else the confidece to tackle a really simple diy. :D
PS I do not have any ties at all to suplex.

I've been told that ///M Springs are different, but that might just be chatter from ECP and other places that don't appear to stock them. If I didn't have a warranty, I'd be straight down a friends to do exactly as Sw4nny as said. The part that swung it for me was having a BMW stamp/piece of paper in case the next owner asks.

Dont know how true it is but the guy at Suplex said they had the rights from Bmw to make to oem spec. :!:

I've got some if your still after them. I brought a full OEM ///M suspension kit from Austria second hand. All the parts have an inspection document by TüV (german MOT) deeming them safe for use. Pm me if they any good to you
