Following my recent bump reversing out of a parking space at one of our local shops and demolishing a young lads Renault Clio by stoving in his passenger door and putting a hole in my rear bumper the Insurance company finally came back to me today with the Uneconomical to repair for mine. Already pre-empted this by sourcing a replacement Bumper in colour for £38. Been sitting here awaiting Insurance decision.
They did offer me £3955 less my £450 excess or £3007 less £450 excess for me to buy it back for £2637 and it would get a Cat N marker put on it.
Decided to close the Claim and repair myself with the bargain Bumper.
Set to and stripped the Bumper off and fitted the replacement during the afternoon, just got to fit the number plate on and job completed.
I did treat and paint the crash bar behind the Bumper before fitting the replacement.
