Rear Brake sensor ...Question ??

Hi,

I've just changed my rear brake pads and Discs, didn't bother with the sensor cos. I thought it was earth activated, turns out it's not, so I bridged the two wires together to simulate a new sensor, the Brake pads worn indicator is still on ??

Does this need reseting to get the light out or is the sensor a set resistance that the car knows is different now that I've cut it ? Curious ? :?

I've odered a new one ..this is just a temporary job.

I have had a set pads go down to the light and to extinguish it i'm pretty sure that i pressed the test button on top of the brake master cylinder with the hand brake on.

go give it a try. My memory is a bit fluffy now'er days :(

Hi,

Thanks.... yes I was sure it would go out if I connected the two wires together ?? unless by a strange coincidence the front wear indicator has just activated !!?
