Rear brake pipes

OMG replaced my rear brake pipes yesterday been meaning to do them for months.
What a mess didn’t look too bad generally but when I got them off they were completely rotten in near side wheel arch. All copper now so no more worries on that front. :D :D

Nice job - mine had MOT advisories for them for 2 years before it was 10 years old, so I got them replaced in copper.

Once the old ones were off they were very weak! :o

I assume people are referring to non-corroding, nice bendy copper nickel alloy or cunifer pipes, rather than pure copper?
I've always understood that pure copper is not suitable for ABS applications and is banned in some countries including Australia. But I've never found an authoritative document confirming either of these much repeated 'facts'. I know people on here have regularly said they fitted copper, does anybody have technical or legal source confirming the suitability of pure copper pipes for ABS?

To be fair I don't know what mine are, but they were done by Mike (ducklakeview) so I'm guessing it would have been bendy copper nickel alloy - I just said copper based on the colour!

They've been on 3 years now and my brakes are still working just fine.
