Incredible  I didn't realise you kept it as a garage queen I would love to do that too, I wouldn't bother using it now just keep it as a concourse minter 8)

Thanks Lee, well its not so much a Garage Queen, the Z3 used to be that but decided to use it as the winter motor so haven't used the Z4 much of late. I'm saving a bit of cash along the way so may swap the Z4 at the end of its PCP for a 35i and then keep it indefinitely and change the Z3 for a more practical motor.

And I thought I did low miles :o :tumbleweed:

It makes me chukkle though when peeps think to enjoy a car they have to do a megga miles, the way I look at it after not using the Z4 over winter, getting it out the garage yesterday was like having a new car all over again, still has that new car smell :)

wow, im impressed by the lack of mileage. mine is on 12k now and i use it everyday

my initial intention was to have a second car but then i probably wouldnt use the z at all and that would be a waste. this way, i use it everyday as i have no choice and i feel my monthly pcp cost isnt being wasted

You could say that about anyone who collects cars as a hobby?

Yep just because it's a car doesn't mean the only pleasure comes from driving it. The joy :) can come from looking at it, cleaning it, polishing it or just knowing you have it tucked away in the garage.

yeah i could understand that if it was something special or rare like an aston or ferrari.... or even something that broke down a lot like a tvr. but having a run of the mill z4 is like saying "i have a mx5 but i rarely drive it as i prefer to get it out for special occasions or i like to wash it on weekends"

Don't think you quite get it

To some their 2CV is their Ferrari or Aston Martin :)

Tim I think you must enjoy all the abuse you get on this forum for your garaged car. Leave it another 2 weeks and you'll start another thread about how the car is back in the garage because it started to rain .

True, different people view things differently.

Had my Z4 and the 1'er detailed today, easily a 10hr day, although rain stopped play at one point.

Glad your car is out of hibernation, enjoy it.
