Hi Guys

Thinking of getting some parts re-trimmed, has anyone got experience or recommendations of anyone who might be able to help...

Bit like this

Any help would be appreciated, am sure I saw a thread a while back where someone had a steering wheel re-trimmed ???

Cheers

The gaiters are pretty easy to do yourself. If you can find something you like fitting is not too bad. The steering wheel though is another beast! I've heard royal steering wheels, as mentioned above, are pretty good

We've been really happy with AS Pickering in Bradford. Not sure if they do steering wheels though and not very close to you I don't think.

He sends you out a 're trimmed wheel, you take your old one off put new one on post back your old one

He does a range of different styles and leathers

You can get extra padding in the wheel to to make it like an m wheel, look in my project thread (link in sig) there are photos in there

£120 for an exchanged wheel

Ideal cheers Stark , that’s not bad at all. Well I have some maintenance bills pre Euro Trip service new N rated tyres and a few minor upgrades before . I think when I get back I start the Interior mods

Guys x 4 whats the cost aprox? :)

£105 if you send your own wheel but be aware it took 5 weeks when I had mine done as he was very busy.

I was going to say that...some cars he has them in stock and will do a straight swap...even better to make it over to his place as he will do the swap for you....but if its not something he carries, then you will have to take yours off, and send it to him....and wait.....

Another vote for Jack, I had mine recovered in black alcantara and fattened up a bit. He did a really good job and fitted it at his place.

How does the Alcantara wear? I've been tempted by that option... does it get greasy from hands/messy looking?

I had mine done a few months ago by Royal steering Wheels, the guy will supply without an exchange, really pleased with mine. He had one already done, drove to his place he fitted it in half an hour.

Ha do you know why he already had one done?

Because I couldn't decide between black or sport stitches
So he done both and sent them to me, to send back which ever I didn't use

Top guy really really helpful

If I was to get it done again I would ask for a little bit more padding
