just curious, which colours are considered to be the rarest?

mine is carbon black, how rare or un-rare is that?

and if i started an exclusive carbon black coupe club, somebody would copy me again

Phoenix Yellow on a Z4 must be as rare as fairy dust, not so liked and was a £1400 option, the most gorgeous colour I have had on car.

No 'special' photos this time though please Taz; I've only just got rid of the headaches :o

Reckon it has to be that slate grey I posted a link to yesterday. Or something like Phoenix Yellow. Not sure if BMW do an special edition Orinoco Z4. IMO that's such a great colour.

it terms of future collectors i assume the pheonix yellow will be of more value cos of it raraty, was this done in the roadster? i could actually be tempted

Rarest colour has to be urban green, only ever seen one in UK on Autotrader and a couple in the states.

Can't understand why it's not popular

Sepang Bronze - I'm told that mine is one of only 2 M-Coupes in Bronze

Olive Green - seen a roadster in this. It looked bloody awful.

Who knows. Colour taste tends to go circle in phases and ultimately it all about what the buyer at the time wants. Who knows; in the year 2040 a 3.0 Phoenix Yellow could well be a highly desirable motor!
They do make a roadster in that colour. There's one parked up in Gravesend i see every time I drive over to the GF's parents house. Facelift only though I think, although I could be wrong.
