I’ve noticed a new issue with my Z4
Maybe you guys have an idea what it could be?
The issue is this: sometimes when idling (e.g. at a red light) the car’s revs fluctuate by up to 100rpm - more specifically they seem to drop and then come back to normal. This happens in irregular intervals, sometimes a couple of times per second, sometimes it happens once and then not for a few seconds, and sometimes it doesn’t happen at all. There is also a noticeable tremor going through the car every time the revs drop. FYI - spark plugs have been changed a few thousand miles ago, so should not be the issue..
I wonder if it might be the Vanos? What do you guys think? And how much should I expect fixing that would cost (I don’t have a driveway and am also not particularly skilled mechanically, so will have to take to garage most likely).
