Rain Sensor Bubble

I just had a new window installed recently because of a cracked windshield and this sensor has a massive bubble right in the middle of the rain sensor. After he was installing it and had it in, he "realized" it had a large bubble in it.

He claims this bubble can come out when the sun hits it but it has yet to come out. I think he was attempting to dodge putting a new windshield in.

Meanwhile, I've been reading a lot on this issue and there doesn't seem to be much on this forum. The sensor works right now but should i just play it safe and get a new windshield?
 
You paid full price (presumably) for a defective windshield. That's not right! I would assume the sensor cannot 'see' through this bubble, so the sensitivity would be diminished and/or altered. How do we know this bubble won't grow, maybe the whole lens would become detached in the future? A bubble would irritate me every time I cleaned the windshield, so you know what I would do.
