So Im getting fed up with this guys, any idea how serious this is?
My car when I put the key into ignition (e86, 2007) starts to emit a small static noise through the speakers. Lately, my radio stations in FM started to get messed up. What was preset 1 is now a new station, preset 6 is preset 5, etc. The search function just keeps on searching, randomly picking radio stations from another areas etc.
The car has a stubby antenna installed. The connection there was looked at a while ago (2 years back) and had issues, was cleaned up and fixed. Static never went away it was there when I bought the car, but the stations were OK. Now stations are done. Is it the aerial antenna situation? Or something more serious with the headunit or ECU or wires? How would I go about fixing?
