Radio - Mind Of Its Own!?!

Battery died recently on the car (due to lack of use)

Got the car jumped and started.

Took for a drive and the radio wouldnt stay on the same station. Its jumping from FM1 to FM2, average, each minute. Buttons/Scrollers also arent working properly Seems like its all confused.

Really annoying... any suggestions?

Try disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes to let the electronics "reboot" so to speak. You'll need to reinitialise your windows afterwards (again I suspect). If that doesn't help your battery may be hopelessly weakened from the ordeal, have it load tested.

Bmw have a natural habit of when the battery is low or on its way out to cut power to unimportant systems .The radio is the first one .... Being winter if a battery goes down it will usually need replacing .
