Having recently parted company with my 2005 3L Roadster I have a Racing Dynamics Carbon fibre air filter for sale. The unit was fitted to the car for approx one month, and has done between 500-1000 miles - certainly no more. It might as well be new.
I found the kit makes a wonderful 'howl' when you nail it... it really lets a Lambo style roar out. Otherwise with typical acceleration you won't notice it! Possibly due to the design it seems to amplify the sound of the throttle body opening so you might notice a momentary 'whisp' noise when you accelerate, very subtle though.
The filter element is Dacron and does not require oiling.

I'm was experimenting with the best way to fit the filter, RD claim it's a straight replacement of the air box, perhaps I was missing a trick here but I found I needed a 90 degree reducing elbow from Samco to get it fitted. I'll include the elbow joint with the deal even though it was £40!
My plan is to get a Z4 M in Feb time, unfortunately the filter wont fit the M's otherwise I would keep it!
I bought it from EVO S for £315 inc delivery http://www.evo-s.co.uk/shop/product...33027&osCsid=4296f6387ddb8f55aa3e8d88530b00c5, obviously as I've not had much use out of it i'd like to recover as much of that as possible. I'm open to sensible offers from forum members.
i'm in Oxford if anyone wants to collect.
Attached a few pictures of it fitted
Any questions just ask
cheers
