Rac breakdown and warranty deal

Hi

I just got Rac breakdown which includes home start and they'll take me anywhere in the uk for £125.

But

What really sold it to me was it included their breakdown repair warranty which includes :-

£750 per breakdown claim

5 claims a year

£0 excess.

I know it's not the same as a proper warranty but I think it's great peace of mind for the money.

Strange thing is, they don't mention it on their website.

The AA wanted £205, £30 excess and £500 limit for the same policy.

This is interesting! So the cover cost £125? Presume your roof motor goes they pay first £750 and you pay the rest?

Few people recommended this type of policy on the TT. BMW and Audi cost a fortune to fix

It's only if the car car is undriveable and cannot be repaired at the roadside.

The AA did pay out on my rear spring last year. I called them out to my house and they confirmed it had broken.

So they could include, alternator, starter motor, fuel pump, engine internals, gearbox etc.

When you think about it, there's quite a bit that can can go wrong at the roadside.
