R107 Wheel Load Rating?

Hi all,

My VW T5 Camper has some god awful 22" wheels on it which scrub the arches. I believe the Z4 and T5 have the same PCD so I could fit the R107's from the Z4 to the Camper for the MOT.

Question is, can the R107's take a load as much as the T5? Not sure what it weighs, it's a standard 1.9 Diesel Panel Van, converted to a Camper..

Cheers

G

PCD might be the same, but will the offsets cause any difficulties?

I don't think I've ever seen the load limit mentioned for wheels - but the same BMW wheel can be used on different models (1-series to 5-series touring), so I don't think a couple of hundred extra kilos is going to matter - plus you probably won't be driving the T5 as hard anyway.

Been done on thousands of VW Transporters , bolt pattern the same but you will need spigot rings for the hubs which are a few ££ each.
Loadwise the 107 isn't exactly svelte so I wouldn't concern yourself over its capacity to take the load.
Post pics up if you do fit them , presuming with some bigger rubber on

Thanks, chaps.
Just wanted a bit of piece of mind.

Fitting will be temporary as they'll be going back on Z so no new rubber.

It'll give me an idea of new wheel size for the T5 too as the 22's are too big.

Pics to follow!

I'd be more concerned about the load rating of the tyres, there must be a fair difference in weight between a two seater Z and a T5 camper conversion.
