Quick Hello.. and Project warning

Well

I did It..

I decided to replace my 1997 2.8 Z3 with a 2005 3.0 Z4..

But she's got a sore nose. Cat D.. but being Scottish.. the price was too good to not buy her. And she's done 50k miles. Toledo Blue, Black leather heated memory seats and ellipsoid 18" alloys
She arrives tomorrow..

I'm gonna post the whole saga from beginning to end. Will drive me on to finish her!

Is your intention to put her back to OEM or are you going to mod her ?
Enjoy when finished :driving:

Well

I'd be mad not to do a facelift.. So I'm looking at a facelift from bumper and probably either aftermarket headlights or de-gingered ones..

Think the bonnet's gonna be the pig! :headbang:

I will be keeping tabs with great interest, much good luck with your work :) Please post pictures of all jobs, explain processes etc. Forget lights and bonnet, switch to a stubby as your main priority

come on.. what's a stubby

and no rude response's! :o

Depending what you paid, this could turn out to be a very good buy. The front end damage doesn't look that bad from the photo, but all depends what structural damage has occurred.
There is some rule of thumb that insurers use, which I can't remember, whereby if the repair cost is 50% (say) of the value, its a write off.
Best of luck, hope it all goes well, look forward to your posts.

Hi and welcome!

Glad to see another Z being rescued!
This is the forum to be in...very helpful but you'll need to be snap happy when posting, it's in the rules!!!
Where in Scotland are you from?

Slaandjivaar

Harry

I'm a Dumfries boy..

The car is here.. worst part is the slam panel/front panel that holds the rad looks bent. Fortunately I've found a breaker with one locally.. but I've got to strip it down myself..

Photos to follow (in the daylight!)
