quick halp - boot carpet

Mornin,

I'm trying to fit my Intravee box but can't remove the boot carpet, I have a toggle in the middle of the rear bulkhead which I assume is a release for the cubby hole lock or hood, but I can't see any mention of this pull on any of the write-ups.

It's a small black circular handle connected to a white nylon cord, I can't see any means of disconnecting the handle, any ideas? :poke:

It's an '04 plate roadster, so preface lift. Cheers in advance!

edit: to pinch Mant's pic, the toggle appears just above the word "tool" dead centre of the carpet on the rear bulkhead

I have fitted a couple and I hope for your sake that the wires for the cd changers are long enough to do it from the boot!

I removed the inside panel to get to the wires, and also whilst removing the bottom cubby hole, drilled the holes I needed for the wires whilst it was out of the car.

I was under the impression I just had to use the CD changer (which I don't have) loom that would be terminated behind the carpet?

I can feel the cables behind the carpet, but can't feel a plug, so not knowing wthe layout I think I'll have to remove it.

OK, I just remembered I had heard someone talk about it, they made a slit either either side of the toggle and slipped it through, I'll do the same :)

Cheers anyways :)

edit: sorted, it's working fine and the output is crystal clear, only problem is I need to change it to display the tracks on the Business CD headunit, will research that tonight :)

Have a look here. Your able to change the UI with out connecting a PC to the intravee. Its not easy tho, I gave up and connected up the laptop.

perfect, exactly what I was looking for, cheers! :)

Will give it a shot tomorrow :)

havent done a firmware yet, hoping mine was fairly new already but then haven't had many probs with it.

might have to give it a go, shame you have to register on the forum to get firmware though.

ughh, this is hurting my brain now.

I couldn't get the UI mode to change via the radio button combination so bought a USB to Serial cable to plug the Intravee into the PC, but now I can't get access to the Intravee site to download the loader/installer software, does anyone have a link or copy please?

If it's a reasonable size could someone email it to me? [email protected]

Considering how popular these systems seem to be the support out of the box (not that they supply a box) is terrible, I just received the unit wrapped in a layer of (second hand) bubble wrap, and stuffed into a Jiffy bag, and that was an apparently new unit from toys for your car.com. No box, No instructions, No software/drivers, not even an invoice! :x

Cheers in advance :)

I can email it tomorrow once back in the office where I have the software. I will check the thread if anyone else has sent it to you in the meantime.

Ok, downloaded the file again from the website and emailed it to you from my Mac. That is not my normal email address so hopefully it will work ...

file received, now for the fun part ;)

thanks again

I told you It wasn't easy, I gave up in the end and had to hook it up to a PC.

You must register on the Intravee website. They have very good support.

Yeah they accepted my registration now, but I got the file from Paul last night and tried sorting it, I hooked up a USB-Seriel cable and setup the Ports, I got the Intravee console up without an error (which led me to believe it is communicating as I got an error with the wrong port), but I was unable to enter text in in the console box. I did some feedback in the box "UserMode **" or something.

I'll try it again at work when I get time and see if I get any more joy here.

It's currently refusing to play anything in my car now, and just sit on "1- " all the time, which is the third state I have had it in ("1-1" played music, "9-1" does nothing, "1- " does nothing)
