Quick Detailer

I have polished and waxed my car with Autosmart Topaz and then Autoglym HD Wax about 5 weeks ago (http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=77566&start=30) and am looking at quick detailer to keep it in appropriate condition. I used Dodo Juice Red Mist Quick Detailer in the past but thats ran out, the colour of my car is Glacier Silver. Read some decent things about Bouncers Done and Dusted, anyone used it? Any recommendations for a quick detailer?

Never used the bouncers......

I used the Sonax brilliant shine for a while.... Its excellent and its beading and sheeting property is insane, but its a bit "thick" and can be a bit streaky.....

I know use 50 cal stealth last touch detailer..... Great stuff, mega easy to use, gives a nice gloss and great beading..... Worth a try, cheap too.

I've used Poorboys QD+ and now using the Cheical Guys QD (can't remember the precise name but it's light blue), both good, Poorboys slightly better overall but be quick to get it buffed off as it can streak, requiring more QD...
Stevo

I have used a few the best all rounder I find is Megs LT http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-sprays/meguiars-last-touch/prod_225.html I use this as a clay lube and a QD plus its great on interior/engine plastics

The other I find very good but requires a bit more effort to buff off is Serious performance show car detailer there is a new version that I have not tried yet but if its as good as the last one then I will be happy http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/Products,119,toView_772.html

Good reviews on the V3 serious performance detailer... £5 postage kills the deal for me though :(

I've been using Chemical Guys Carnuba Pro Detailer for a few years now. Really good finish, easy on and easy off.

That's true about BSD, it can be a bit 'grabby' sometimes, but I've found that mixing it 50:50 with Gtechniq C2v3 and using a fine mist sprayer gives the best of both worlds - you get the water behaviour of BSD with the gloss and slickness of C2v3 and it buffs very easily

Yea...

I mixed it with some megs, it helped a lot...

They spray applicators for the BSD always get blocked too... :(

Great product, just a bit of hassle... That's why I prefer the 50 cal now.. 95% of BSD's beading and sheeting but better in every other way... Half the price too

I get my qd from prestige car care, its the Adams quick detailer and its very good and you can buy in bulk.

The best qd is Zaino Z6 and better than that z8 which i use for shows

Nothing will beat these.

Layer with zaino clear seal for extra protection and will keep your wax covered well.

Another option is csp wax spritzer after washing to top up wax and then qd on top

I bought some Autosmart Topaz and use this after a wash. I do t think it can get quicker or easier.

When would you apply the quick detailer other than something like this?

Best way to find a product that suits you is get samples from cleanyourride

They get new stuff all the time.

The csp stuff is great and some bits have real science put into the making.

For example, the best window cleaner i have found is power maxed glass cleaner. Beats some of the best branded stuff ive used and would never have known about it until i got a veriety of samples.

Also works wonders on polished lip wheels.
